Music icon, Francis Magalona died today after battling leukemia. He was 44.
He first announced the news on "Eatbulaga" last August 2008 and his death also announced at 12 noon today in the same show.
I remember I was six when I first heard his music. We had a dance number in school. Of course, the hit song then was "Mga Kababayan." I just can't believe that someone so young died of cancer. He poured out his heart and soul to the music industry and to his country. But this sickness was faced by a very brave man.
